Girls Weekend

Mom, Katie and I went away for the weekend to Alexandria Virginia and it's beautiful!!

We stayed at the embassy suites, went to the Potomic Mills mall and got to walk down a long street with little antique stores, book stores, ice cream parlors and wig shops. My favorite part of the whole trip was getting to try on wigs and see what styles look best on who. You could try on 3 wigs for $10, but you couldn't take any pictures... which kinda stunk cuz we looked really good!

The Potomic Mills is huge!...it took us one day to go through only half of the mall! so we spent 2 days there and bought lots of sweet stuff... We enjoyed getting to be all girly by having little runway fashion shows in the fitting rooms... and trying on all the super high heels, though we could barely walk in them. We enjoyed listening to the 80's music on our way there and back and staying up late watching funny movies, though poor Katie didn't enjoy having to sleep with me cuz I took up the whole bed.. ha ha poor thing!! :b Oh ya... and we played Sudoku wherever we went... we are the champions!

I'm so glad we were able to make memories, because this will probably be one of our last girl trips before Katie and Micheal leave to Las Vegas on deployment. It's gonna be really hard having them gone and we're gonna miss them terrible, but I am looking forward to visiting over there. We'll be making memories everywhere!!

O to grace how great a debtorDaily I’m constrained to be!Let Thy goodness, like a fetter,Bind my wandering heart to Thee.Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,Seal it for Thy courts above.

Frazzled

I had a relaxed morning, had devotions, about to make breakfast, not dressed yet...and then... I get a phone call from work saying that I'm already 10 minutes late for work... yikes!
I was gone for the week on vacation..and so.. I thought that I wasn't working for the rest of the week. The policy at Old Navy is if you don't pick up your schedule by 6pm on Saturday night your hours are given away. I wasn't there Saturday night.
Long story short... I was 30 mins late for work today... and... I looked and felt all frazzled. There were different sales going on and I had no idea what was happening. The feeling was miserable. I finally got everything together and was fine the rest of the day, but I felt really bad for being late... I had no idea I even had to work... Oh well... hopefully it won't happen again. :)
But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Phil 3:13-14
