And... they're off...

Hey guys-

Katie and Michael just left for Vegas... we all need prayer. It's only been like 20 minutes since they left, but it feels longer.
All of us keep crying... crying is good. Happy Tears happy tears.
It'll be hard to adjust to all of this. Katie and Michael were the main part in our lives, they still will be, they were always over, they broke the silence, and they were the joy in the household.
They are our best friends! Which makes me even more excited for visits from them!

So if the Lord lays us on your hearts please pray for:

* Katie and Michael's safety
* God to help us move forward in life... a new season :)
* A deeper reliance on God and trust in God
* That we would all draw closer as a family

Love you all!!!

I think It's pretty!

Ok... less than a week before Christmas Mom, Katie and I went out and finally bought a tree.
A $9.99 TREE!!!
We're kinda late in season sort of people... HaHa! ;)

The trees were pathetic... so pathetic that you could pick them up with one hand. HaHa!!
Us girls laughed and laughed, we had a blast!
Afterwards we went for coffee at Starbucks (Mom's treat!)
I got a cold drink and was shivering for the rest of the night, but HEY it was good! ;)
This is the tree we got... it's got character!!!
I stood at the door while Mom and Katie bought the tree. This old man was sweet when he asked to hold the door for me to go in. I didn't go in, but that was sweet of him.
I was afraid I'd get kidnapped standing out there... haha, but the the sweet old man came and I felt safe!
He put me in the Christmas spirit!

Gretchen & Rob

December 20, 2008

Gretchen and Rob are getting married at the Founder's Inn. I'm so excited for them!

We had the privilege of getting to take their engagement pictures for them and they were so adorable .

I loved seeing Rob never take his eyes off Gretchen cause he said, "I just love to look at her cause she's just so pretty." I love it!

We all helped make thank you gifts for the guests...

Christopher helped make the table decorations. He's pretty handy at those things. What a trooper!

Everybody helping!!

And... the wedding planners!
All three of these women... Mrs. Olson, Mrs. Greer and my Mom all worked together to make this wedding possible.
They've all been friends for (I think) over 20 years.
And now they get to help plan their girls weddings!

My Birthday... 17! Woot!!!

I got to skip half a day of school to go shopping with my friend Laurel- Manette... a lot of fun!
Then, my family came and celebrated the rest with me that night. It was so much fun!

My Grandpa Pepa made me a bookshelf that I really wanted... I love it! It sooo sweet of him to make it for me!!
Laurel bought me a huge picture of Starry Night by Van Gogh. I love Van Gogh's paintings they're beautiful!
Thanks Laurel! ;)

This is the quilt my Mom and Dad bought me! It's gorgeous! I adore quilts! I actually found it in Nag's Head when we went there with the Wallis' recently and I really wanted it. It's not finished on the back so Katie and Michael gave me money to do that. :)
Here's the guys that came. Thanks Mikey and Aaron! We all enjoyed ya'll! Mike you need to come hangout more

So here it is... took me a while. lol
This is a picture of Jimmy, Joey, and Caleb in the corner. This was taken when they were putting on a play for History class.
Homemade costumes all the way baby!
But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
